This week has been a little bit of a “bum”mer! My
hemorrhoids came back, so the first part of the week was miserable. Scott got
out the documentation on things to watch for and one of them when the white
blood cell count gets low is…you guessed it…sore bum AND my white blood cell
count was a little low this week, so there you go! My oncologist gave me a few
more suggestions, so hopefully we can keep them in control. Today, I’m feeling
great and my energy is back and I’m looking forward to this weekend. Baby K is
coming to spend the weekend while Mom and Dad get a little together time!
YIPPEE! This will be her first overnight here without them, so it will be an adventure!
Last weekend one of our favorite Irish entertainers, Eddie
Delahunt, who we’ve seen multiple times at the Kansas City Irish Fest and who plays
every Wednesday and Sunday night at O’Dowd’s Little Dublin pub on the Plaza in
KC, was playing at the Great Plains Theatre in Abilene. Kellen happened to see
the flyer in Angela’s pharmacy a couple of weeks ago, remembered who he was, and got us two tables right in front of the stage. Oh, what fun we had!!! Emma
and Killian came along, but Baby K stayed with a sitter. Emma danced like crazy
all night and they both went on stage (along with a little help from Aunt
Caitlin) and did actions to one of the songs. Well…Emma and Caitlin did
actions. Poor Killian and his baby blue eyes were blinded by the stage lights
and I think he was also bitten by the shy bug, but he stayed up there for the
whole song! When Eddie heard his name, he said, “My God! This boy’s more Irish
than I am!” It was such a fun time!
